  • The College Baseball Foundation and Diamond Sports are proud to announce this week’s National All-Star Lineup.  See the full National All-Star Lineup below:
  • Justin Marks - Louisville
  • Threw 7.2 shutout innings in a 2-1 win over USF, sparking a three game sweep of the Bulls to give the Cardinals the regular season Big East title.  Marks struck out 12 with only four hits and no walks to improve to 9-2 on the year.  The junior leftie holds the school records for career wins (27), strikeouts (282), and earned-run avg (2.82).

  • Justin Miller - Ohio State
  • Helped the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten regular season title hitting .583 with a double, six RBI, a homerun, and four runs scored.  In the series finale on Sunday, needing a win to have a shot at the Big Ten crown,  Miller was 3 for 3 with a pair of RBI, two runs scored, and a homerun to give Ohio State the 8-6 win.

  • Buck Afenir - Kansas
  • Batted .545 (6 for 11) with a pair of homers and six RBI to help Kansas to s series victory over No. 11 Kansas State.  The senior catcher had a career high 4 hits in Saturday’s game which included a two run homer to break open the game for the Jayhawks.  In Sunday’s finale, Afenir was 2 for 3 with another two run homer to give the Jayhawks the series clinching win.

  • Sean Yost - Nebraska
  • Tossed a six-hit shutout against Baylor on Saturday in his first ever Big Twelve victory.  Yost struck out six on the way to Nebraska’s first shutout of the season and first complete game shutout since March 2008, making Yost the first Husker freshman to pitch a nine-inning shutout since 2000.

  • Nick Ebert - South Carolina
  • Ebert hit .625 (5 for 8) in the three game series against Georgia.  The first basemen added 4 homers and 10 RBI to help South Carolina to a 3-0 weekend sweep of the Bulldogs.

  • Brian Cavazos-Galvez - New Mexico
  • Hit .647 (11 for 17) with five home runs, a double, 11 RBI, and 12 runs scored to help New Mexico to a 4-0 week.  The senior outfielder finished a three game series against Air Force with a 5 for 5 effort, including 4 RBI, 6 runs scored, a double, and three home runs.

  • Kyle Henson - Ole Miss
  • Helped Ole Miss to a weekend sweep over No. 16 Arkansas batting .500 with 8 RBI and 6 runs scored.  Henson slugged .971 and a .571 on base percentage.  This is the first SEC regular season championship for Ole Miss since the 1977 season, and the weekend sweep set the school record for conference wins in a season (20).

  • Brandon Roberts - Charleston Southern
  • Roberts went 1-0 on the week in two appearances, posting a 1.69 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 10.2 innings.  Opened the week with a seven inning complete game against Savannah State, striking out twelve while allowing just three hits, no walks, and one earned run.   Came in on relief against Coastal Carolina on Saturday tossing 3.2 innings with just two hits, one earned run, and struck out 5.

  • Chris Herrmann - Miami
  • Had at least three hits in all three games over the weekend, recording three in the first two games and a perfect 4 for 4 effort in the finale.  Herrmann reached base in 14 of 18 plate appearances, adding 4 walks to his ten hits.  Led the Hurricanes batting .769 (10 for 13) with 8 RBI, 8 runs, and 17 total bases.

  • Chase Lyles - Northwestern State
  • Hit .786 (11 for 14) with a 1.714 slugging percentage during three games last week.  Lyles had six extra bases hits including 4 homeruns, along with 10 RBI and 9 runs scored.

  • Brian Rorick - Delaware
  • Tossed this third straight complete game, scattering four hits and did not allow an earned run in Delaware’s 6-1 win over VCU.  The junior struck out 13, the most by a Blue Hen’s pitcher since 2005.

  • Mike Leake - Arizona State
  • Threw a complete game shutout in a 9-0 win, allowing just three hits while striking out 12.  Leake didn’t issue a walk and faced only two batters over the minimum.

  • Tim Patzman - Wisconsin-Milwaukee
  • Hit .733 (11 for 15) with a homer, three RBI, four doubles, and six runs in four games last week.  Patzman registered a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .778 on base percentage for the Panthers.

  • Digger Towe - UAB
  • Batted .750 (6 for 8) driving in six runs and scoring five times, posting a 1.250 slugging percentage in the weekend series against Rice.  In the series opener, Towe hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning the proved to be the game winner.  In the series finale, Towe collected 3 hits including an RBI double and scored three times in UAB’s come from behind 15-12 victory.

  • Ryan Wood - Eastern Carolina
  • Became the third Pirate in the last 10 years to hit for the cycle, knocking in three runs on four hits.  For the week, Wood hit .625 (10 for 16) with a home run, six RBI, and nine runs scored.

  • Coach Mike Batesole - Fresno State
  • Coach Batesole earned his 500th career win Thursday as Fresno State rallied to beat Sacramento State 15-7.

  • Coach Sunny Golloway - Oklahoma
  • Coach Golloway earned his 500th career win as the Sooners opened the weekend series against Texas A&M with a win.  Golloway is now 165-94-1 at OU.

  • Coach Gary Gilmore - Coastal Carolina
  • Coach Gilmore earned his 800th career victory on Thursday in the Chanticleers 9-1 win over Charleston Southern.  Gilmore now has an 802-392 career record in 20 seasons as a head coach.

  • Coach John Anderson - Minnesota
  • Coach Anderson earned his 1,000th career victory as the Golden Gophers defeated Penn State on Thursday.  Anderson is the 20th coach in D-I history to accomplish this feat with the same team and the 10th coach in Big Ten history to reach the milestone at the same school.
