National Allstar Lineup Sponsored by Diamond (Week 12)

  • The College Baseball Foundation and Diamond Sports are proud to announce this week’s National All-Star Lineup.  Stephen Strasburg (San Diego State) throws a no-hitter and strikes out 17 in the Aztecs last home series.  Kyle Bellows (San Jose State) hits .583 on the week with 17 RBI.  See the full National All-Star Lineup below:
  • Joey Bergmen - College of Charleston
  • Hit .632 with four homers and 12 RBI as the Cougars enjoyed a 5-0 week.  The junior third baseman had two homers and a career-best 6 RBI in a mid-week win over Charleston Southern.

  • Andrew Kainer - UT Arlington
  • Broke the all-time Southland Conference hit streak record on a seventh inning single Monday against Oklahoma.  Kainer’s 35 game streak broke the record set in 1996.  He extended that nation’s longest hitting streak to 36 after a 4 for 4 effort against Lamar.

  • Samuel Rodriguez - Bethune-Cookman
  • Struck out a career-high 13 batters in nine innings of play to earn the win over North Florida.  Rodriguez posted 0.00 ERA, allowing just two hits and one unearned run in 32 at bats.

  • Stephen Strasburg - San Diego State
  • Strasburg fired a 9-inning no-hitter during a 5-0 win over Air Force. He retired the first nine batters he faced, seven via strikeout, before allowing a leadoff walk in the fourth. That runner was erased when trying to steal. The Falcons' only other base runner came on another leadoff walk in the sixth. Strasburg then struck out the side. He finished the game with 17 strikeouts and faced 28 batters, one over the minimum.

  • Kyle Bellows - San Jose State
  • Helped the Spartans to three road wins over New Mexico State last week, batting .583 (14 for 24) with 12 runs scored, 17 RBI, four home runs, two doubles, and two walks, slugging 1.167.

  • Greg Folgia - Missouri
  • Folgia belted 4 home runs and drove in 10 runs while hitting .500 for the Tigers over four games last week. He had at least one hit in each contest with a slugging percentage of 1.250.

  • Brandon Milleville - Stanford
  • Hit .474 (9 for 19) with six runs scored, four homers (including two grand slams), and 16 RBI in five games.  Milleville slugged 1.105 and registered an on-base percentage of .545.

  • Mike Minor - Vanderbilt
  • Threw his first complete game of the season against ranked Georgia on Saturday.  The junior lefty limited the Bulldogs to just two runs on five hits with 12 strikeouts and two walks.

  • Anthony Vasquez - USC
  • Threw a complete game shutout Tuesday, striking out a career-high 13.  The senior retired 14 straight batters through the middle of the game and struck out the side twice.  Vasquez finished the game with 4 consecutive strikeouts.

  • Joe Gardner - UC Santa Barbara
  • Gardner tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout over Long Beach State in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. Gardner struck out five and faced just three batters over the minimum. He retired the final 13 batters of the game and 20 of the final 22 he faced.

  • Austin Hyatt - Alabama
  • Pitched the Crimson Tide to a 2-1 series opening win over No. 11 Arkansas on Friday.  The senior held the Razorbacks to one run on three hits en route to his fourth career complete game and second of the season.  Hyatt added seven strikeouts and no walks in the victory.

  • Ross Hales - Texas A & M
  • Tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout against Texas.  The freshman struck out nine and did not walk a batter while facing just three batters over the minimum.  The victory marked A&M’s first shutout of the Longhorns since 1979 and the first nine inning shut-out for an Aggie pitcher since 2004.

  • Vince Belnome - West Virginia
  • Became the first in school history to record six hits in a single game in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati.  The junior DH was 6 for 6 with 9 RBI. Belnome’s 9 RBI effort tied the school record for most RBI in a game set in 1936 and matched in 1947.  On Saturday, he became the 12th Mountaineer to reach 200 career base hits.

  • Tony Plagman - Georgia Tech
  • Hit two homers against ranked Florida State over the weekend.  Plagman sealed the series win in the bottom of the ninth in Saturday’s game when he drove in the winning run against a five-man drawn in FSU infield.  Began the weekend going 5 for 5 with a home run, 3 RBI, and 4 runs scored in the Yellowjackets 12-3 win.

  • Tommy Oravetz - Florida State
  • Led the Seminoles last week hitting .625 (10 for 16) in five games.  The senior produced 3 doubles, 3 homers, 8 RBI, and 22 total bases to lead the Seminole offense in the weekend series

  • Quentin Care - Wright State
  • Went 15 for 21 (.714) with two doubles, four homers, seven runs, and 11 RBI in five games.  Care registered a 1.381 slugging percentage and .750 on-base percentage for the Raiders.

  • Sean Weatherford and Gillaume Dugay - Sam Houston State
  • Combined to strike out 22 in Sam Houston State’s win over Central Arkansas on Friday, setting both school and conference records for strikeouts in one game.  Weatherford pitched 5 innings and struck out 12 before handing the game to Dugay who struck out 10 in 4 innings pitched.

  • Brayden Drake - Missouri State
  • Homered in all four Missouri State wins, hitting .588 with 12 RBI and 6 runs scored.  Drake had three RBI in all four games, doubled twice, and was hit by four pitches to slug 1.412 and collect a .667 on-base percentage in 21 trips to the plate.
