National All-Star Lineup (5/11/11)

  • The College Baseball Hall of Fame and Diamond Sports are proud to announce this week’s National All-Star Lineup. Mike Augliera (Binghamton) tossed a complete game shutout with 15K’s and no walks. Alex Meyer of Kentucky posted a complete game shutout and struck out five to earn a win over ranked Vanderbilt. Carson Smith (Texas State) struck out the leadoff hitter in all eight innings pitched en route to a 14K performance. Will Soto of Sacramento State leads the lineup this week in batting average with .706. Mike McGee of Florida State had an impressive week at the plate hitting .529 with 7 RBI and 2 home runs in addition to pitching in Sunday’s game to pick up a win.

    The College Baseball Foundation will release its "National All-Star Lineup" each week, giving accolades to the past week’s top performers. The "National All-Star Lineup" is nominated by college coaches, staff, and baseball media contacts.

     

    To nominate a player or coach email Tyler Young at awards@collegebaseballfoundation.org by Tuesday at 5 p.m. following every weekend series.
