The game of college baseball has long been recognized as an integral part of America’s favorite pastime through raising up generations of ball players and legendary coaches who have made significant contributions to the game as a whole. And now, these players and coaches are being rewarded for their commitment and dedication to the game.

The College Baseball Foundation was created in 2004 in order to create an appreciation for the historical development of college baseball and its impact on our society. An important part of this process is the collection, preservation, and exhibition of the historical aspects related to college baseball, in addition to recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of current and former players and coaches.

  • The National College Baseball Hall of Fame has been established as a partnership with the renowned Southwest Collections Library on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. The collection process began in September 2004 and continues today in an effort to create a comprehensive history of the sport.
  • The College Baseball Foundation also established the Brooks Wallace National Player of the Year Award in memory of Brooks Wallace, an outstanding shortstop and later assistant coach for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Former winners of this award include Kurt Suzuki-Cal St. Fullerton(2004), Alex Gordon-Nebraska (2005), Brad Lincoln-Houston (2006), and David Price-Vanderbilt (2007).

Be a part of the celebration and help honor the exceptional players & coaches and their contributions to the game of college baseball.
